Quality Assurance and Compliance Assistant
Quality Assurance and Compliance Assistant
- Job description
Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 24 months
Join our Quality and Contracts Service and play a vital role in helping to ensure high-quality, compliant Adult Social Care services across Leicester. Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you'll provide administrative and contract support, liaise with service providers, and help monitor compliance and performance across a range of commissioned services.
You'll work alongside colleagues from Learning Disabilities and Mental Health, Older Adults, Health and Partnerships, and Quality Improvement teams, contributing to exciting developments including new residential and nursing care contracts and the implementation of a new Quality Assurance Framework. This flexible role offers a blend of office and home working, with office attendance currently required on Mondays.
This is a full time, fixed term contract working 37 hours per week (for 2 years). There will be requirements for office days based at Halford House, and currently this includes Monday, but the opportunity to work remotely from home is also available to the role. Your working hours will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am till 5pm and Friday 8.30am till 4.30pm.
What you’ll be doing
As a Quality Assurance and Compliance Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality contract and compliance services across Adult Social Care. Working as part of a duty rota, you'll respond to telephone and email enquiries, process contractual concerns, and provide support with queries relating to new and existing contracts.
You'll follow established processes and procedures to provide effective contract administration support, including maintaining records, issuing insurance reminders to service providers, processing responses, and assisting with a range of compliance-related activities. You'll also help coordinate provider forums, supporting the organisation of agendas, speakers, and other event requirements.
Working closely with the Contracts Group Manager, senior colleagues and Contract Officers, you'll build positive relationships with service providers and a range of professionals, including health partners, social work teams and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Through your work, you'll help ensure providers meet contractual requirements and contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality services for Leicester residents.
What you’ll need
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and able to work confidently within established processes and procedures. You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines and communicating complex information clearly and professionally to a range of stakeholders.
Ideally, you'll have some knowledge of contracts, compliance or Adult Social Care services and an understanding of how high-quality service provision is monitored and maintained. You should be confident using Microsoft Office applications and other digital systems, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage information effectively.
You'll be a positive and solution-focused team player who enjoys building relationships and providing excellent support to colleagues, providers and external partners. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to respond professionally to contract-related queries are essential. Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive approach, a commitment to delivering high standards, and a genuine interest in supporting quality services that make a difference to people's lives.
What we can offer you
As well as the satisfaction of helping to improve thousands of lives across Leicester, you can look forward to a work environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance. You’ll enjoy generous annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the option of some flexible working where possible. We’ll also give you the chance to develop your skills and expertise with a variety of training and development opportunities. In addition, you can choose from a number of flexible benefits, including discounts on city buses and trains.
