Staff Bank Opportunity - Reactive Repairs Support Officer
Band 4 | 37 Hours per Week
Based at Cowley Road, Blyth
Are you an organised and customer-focused administrator? We are looking for a Reactive Repairs Support Officer to join our Housing Maintenance Service on a temporary Staff Bank basis for up to six months.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of repairs and maintenance services across our housing stock. You will work closely with our teams and customers to ensure housing disrepair claims, complaints, financial processes and repairs administration are managed efficiently and effectively. The role is fast paced, varied and offers the chance to make a real difference to service delivery and customer experience.
About the Role
Working as a Reactive Repairs Support Officer, you will:
- Process the administration and coordination of housing disrepair claims,
- Support the management of complaints, compliments and customer enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices and monitor expenditure in line with council financial procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, meeting notes and financial information.
This assignment is expected to last a maximum of 6 months.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience handling customer enquiries, complaints or service requests.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Experience using ICT systems and producing accurate reports and performance information.
