Receptionist (Afternoon)
Salary: £29,436 - £29,856 Annually (FTE) Scale 3.5 to 4.6. Actual Salary £13,775 to £13,972 (as 46.8% FTE)
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Term: Part-time, 20 hours per week, Working hours: 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm, 38.2 weeks per year
Start Date: As soon as possible
About this Role
We are looking to appoint a passionate and inspiring Receptionist to join a talented and supportive administrative team. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for empowering young women, and for guiding them to be the best version of themselves. You will be joining an organisation that can offer you many opportunities to progress and make a real difference.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide a professional receptionist service to the school.
- Be the first point of contact for both telephone and face-to-face enquiries and take messages where appropriate.
- Ensure school safeguarding and security arrangements are always complied with, including the issue of visitor’s badges and operating school entry systems.
- Accept and sign for deliveries as appropriate.
- Provide hospitality for visitors to the school.
- Monitor the CCTV
- Distribute incoming mail and organise the dispatch of outgoing mail, including the crediting of the franking machine.
- Supervise the Year 8 reception helpers
- Ensure the phone system's external and internal voicemail is up to date and accurate for each user/department

The successful candidate will become part of an oversubscribed, flourishing school for girls aged 11 to 18, with confident, courteous, articulate students and an ethos in empowerment.
