We are recruiting a Receptionist at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: Zero Hours Contracts
Contract Type: Relief / Casual
Location: Primary work base will be agreed by line manager at appointment. The potential work base for every employee is in any of the facilities managed by Leisure Services within Caerphilly County Borough Council

Sport and Leisure Services are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated receptionists to join their growing team.

The post involves providing an effective and efficient reception service contributing to the day-to-day operation of a Leisure Centre, dealing directly with members of the public to undertake bookings, deal with queries and accept payments.

All applicants must be customer orientated to ensure a high and consistent level of service provision that will encourage repeat business and be able to demonstrate their knowledge an enthusiasm in sport and recreation.

This role is offered on a relief/casual, zero‑hours basis, with work available as needed to support the team and cover short‑term absences.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or equivalent level of qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework / Relevant Level 2 qualification. For example, NVQ2 Customer Service.
  • The ability to operate a cash handling and recording system.
  • Proven experience of dealing with customers face to face, over the telephone and via email.
