    RECEPTIONIST

    NJC Grade E, SCP 7-11

    £25,584 - £27,269 per annum pro rata (actual £21,156 - £22,549)

    36 hours per week (Mon – Thurs 8.00am – 3.45pm, Fri 8.00am-3.30pm)

    Term time only (43 weeks per year)

    Kirkby High School is looking to appoint a highly motivated receptionist with strong organisational and communication skills to join our team. The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors so a professional approach and excellent customer service are essential for this role. The person appointed will also provide routine general clerical and administrative support to the school.

    The successful candidate will:

    • have relevant experience or skills
    • have level 2 qualification in English and Maths or equivalent
    • have excellent interpersonal skills
    • have the ability to use a range of technology, have good ICT skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office.
    • be expected to undertake first aid training.
    • be passionate about supporting education
    • bring energy and enthusiasm to the role
    • be flexible and adaptable in a busy educational environment
    • have the ability to work well in a team and independently
    • have a working knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
    • have the ability to relate to young people
