
Recycling Advisor
We are recruiting Recycling Advisors at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31/12/2027
Location: Tir-Y-Berth Depot
Team: Waste Strategy and Operations
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of sustainable waste management initiatives through direct public engagement. In this role you will promote waste minimisation, recycling and composting across the county borough by encouraging positive behaviour change through education, persuasion, and, where necessary, enforcement.
You will assist in developing and delivering targeted education campaigns and contribute to research and analysis to support the implementation of local waste strategies. This is a key frontline role, helping to improve recycling performance and reduce residual waste through meaningful interaction with residents and communities.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- A sound and up to date knowledge of waste management and environmental issues.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough.
