If you’re interested in living in UK or abroad, you could help make sure our day-to-day service for our customers runs efficiently to protect UK interests overseas. Our regional hubs in Washington, Brussels, Pretoria and Bangkok enable us to respond to our customers’ needs locally with the right skills and people, along with value for money services. As part of the overseas team, you’ll work in any one of 60 different international locations, supporting 280 diplomatic missions around the world.

Keep our overseas estate running safely and smoothly
Joining our dynamic and versatile Global Services team, you’ll inspect and advise on the maintenance of our overseas estate. Based either in the UK, or overseas, your day-to-day will be varied and active, and could include carrying out property inspections, spotting hazards and ensuring compliance, producing reports to support recommendations, and advising a broad range of people on health & safety matters.
You’ll provide technical input for small to medium sized projects, including producing simple designs and tender documents. More than anything, you’ll be committed to driving continuous improvement with everything you do, paying meticulous attention to health and safety, and working with a key eye for detail.
Use your technical skills to keep people and properties safe on a global scale
With a Level 4 or higher qualification in building construction and / or building services, or equivalent experience, you’ll be a member of a relevant professional body. You’ll have a good working knowledge of technical standards and building related health and safety legislation, as well as broad knowledge of building, civil, mechanical and electric work.
Your skillset will include financial management skills, IT skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable making effective decisions and delivering at pace, you’ll be a source of insight and guidance to your team. Collaboration and communication is at the heart of this role, so you’ll be a true team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to emerging situations.

Person specification
We are looking for people with :
- Min Level 4 (preferably Level 5) technical or professional qualification, in building construction and/or building services related disciplines or demonstrable extensive equivalent experience.
- Member of professional body such as IET, CIOB, CIBSE, CIET or similar.
- Health & safety qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH) or willingness to acquire it.
- Knowledge of relevant technical standards and building related H&S legislation.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
