(Grade F-H £34,811 – £46,579 per annum, appointment level dependent on knowledge & experience)

Plymouth LABC is seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Registered Building Inspectors to join our professional and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the UK's most diverse and attractive locations combining a varied workload with an exceptional quality of life.

About the Role

We are looking for a surveyor who has a keen interest in delivering excellent customer service and helping maintain high standards of building compliance across the city.

You will preferably be a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) or actively working towards registration. For the successful candidate, we are committed to supporting your professional development through comprehensive training and mentoring.

You will:

• Have experience or an interest in domestic building control work.
• Be a Registered Building Inspector (or be working towards registration).
• Possess strong communication and customer service skills.
• Be motivated, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality services.
• Enjoy working collaboratively while also being confident managing your own workload.
