
Regulatory and Compliance Apprentice (Level 4)

We are seeking an apprentice to join our Place Protection Team, working mainly within Licensing. The role will be an administration and enforcement role concentrating on licensing, although at times may include providing assistance and cover for other team members as appropriate.
The successful candidate will work both in and out of the office administering and processing applications for licences and dealing with the maintenance of licences already issued. The role includes regular communication with applicants and licence holders face to face, in writing and over the telephone, and ensuring the accuracy of data held on our systems. The role also includes carrying out inspections of licensed premises and other businesses to ensure compliance with their licence, and associated enforcement actions.
The Place Protection Team seek to continually improve the service provided, and you will be actively involved in the implementation of systems to automate and streamline, as well as related reviews of processes and procedures.
You’ll get great support from experienced Licensing Officers, to help you achieve success and develop your confidence, and you’ll be working towards a Level 4 Regulatory & Compliance qualification, as well as learning technical skills associated with the licensing team. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Licensing.
We are looking for an accurate, diligent, team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who has the ability to learn to use new IT systems and the desire to work in a regulatory role, to ensure that public safety and other licensing objectives are met. You will need to have a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
