Repairs Electrician – Deliver a First-Class Repairs Service

Are you a qualified Electrician with experience in repairs and maintenance? Join Peabody's Repairs Team and help keep residents safe by delivering high-quality electrical repairs, testing and installations across our homes.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you'll carry out a wide range of electrical works, including repairs, fault finding, EICR testing and consumer unit replacements. You'll play a vital role in achieving first-time fixes, maintaining compliance and delivering excellent customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to a high standard, achieving first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and identify any remedial works required.
• Undertake fault finding, testing and inspection activities.
• Install and replace consumer units, heat alarms and smoke alarms.
• Complete certification and test documentation accurately and compliantly.
• Carry out core drilling for fan installations where required.
• Manage your workload effectively and work to agreed schedules and performance targets.
• Ensure materials, equipment and resources are available to minimise follow-on works and maximise productivity.
• Deliver excellent customer service and take ownership of issues through to resolution.

What you'll bring

• At least five years' experience working within property maintenance or a similar environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out EICRs, electrical testing and repairs in occupied properties.
• A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must hold:

• City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• AM2 or AM2S qualification
• City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing qualification, or 2394/2395 equivalent

Desirable

• First Aid qualification
• Knowledge of working with non-licensed asbestos
