Job summary
You will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process across various professions, ensuring timely progress and a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will be key to the day-to-day management of recruitment campaigns, including external hiring, internal Expressions of Interest (EOI), and contingent labour recruitment throughout the organisation. Critically, all recruitment activities must strictly follow the Civil Service Commission Recruitment Principles, maintaining fairness and integrity throughout.Job description
Your responsibilities as a Resourcing Manager will include:
- Creating job adverts and campaigns to attract diverse, high-calibre talent and designing selection processes that effectively assess candidates.
- Delivering expert recruitment support, advice, and guidance to hiring managers throughout the process.
- Identifying and leading employer branding activities to enhance the organisation’s market presence, including external advertising, attending jobs fairs, and conducting outreach to diverse, under-represented communities.
- Managing and mentoring a team of Resourcing Coordinators.
- Acting as a leader within the Resourcing team, focusing on team quality, performance, support, and wellbeing.
- Identifying and guiding Continuous Improvement projects within the team to streamline and enhance existing processes.
- Utilise recruitment data and metrics to identify process improvements and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Assist in the management of the Reward & Recognition scheme, raising awareness and encouraging its usage across the organisation.
Person specification
As a Resourcing Manager within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:
- Experience of delivering recruitment campaigns across a variety of functions and roles
- Excellent interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all levels
- Ability to review, follow and advise on recruitment policy
- Ability to work at pace in a fast changing environment, often with conflicting priorities
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Desirable:
Experience recruiting within Civil Service or a similarly regulated environment
Additional information:
A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.
