We have exciting opportunities for full-time, permanent Revenue Assistants to join our team.

About you…

We are looking for individuals who bring an assertive yet tactful approach when dealing with customers, with the ability to understand complex rules and explain them clearly and confidently. You will be a strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in your work. You should also feel comfortable using a range of computer systems as part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

About the team…

The Revenues department is a small but busy part of the council providing a front-line service to it's residents with a proactive approach. We are a friendly and dedicated Revenues team responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of all local taxes. We work closely with multiple departments within the council, including benefits and housing, to provide a seamless response to customer queries. You will be involved in varied and sometimes challenging work daily.

Key responsibilities…

  • Support the delivery of revenue services with a focus on customer care.
  • To input and retrieve information from computer systems.
  • Maintenance of accounts and dealing with debt recovery enquiries.
  • Continuing drive to encourage customers to self-serve and apply for e-billing.
  • Adhering to GDPR guidelines while carrying out the duties required.
