Description

Ensure the efficient and effective management of police information

As Review Retain and Disposal Officer for our Information Management team, you will be actively engaging with the storage, review and disposal of police information and records. This role requires a high level of organisation and the ability for you to make risk-based decisions.

Part of this position will see you participating in providing advice and guidance to police officers and staff, partnership organisations and the wider community.

The role holds core working hours between 7am – 7pm, Monday – Friday.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting the Records Management Officer with the training of new starters
  • Aiding the Records Management Officer with the delivery of training to all Officers and Staff relating to records management subjects
  • Ensuring the efficient and effective storage, review and disposal of police information and records

The must haves

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent or have experience of working to this standard.
  • A working knowledge of legislation and national guidance associated with the management of information.
  • Experience of working in a role requiring the data searching and retrieval of high volumes of information from computerised databases, whilst paying attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • To hold a full driver’s licence and able to travel across the Force area *.
