School Caretaker

Caretaker – Temporary – 10 Hours per week – Grade 3 - Actual Salary £5,670 PA – Based at The Berkeley Academy, Laidon Avenue, Wistaston, Crewe, CW2 6RU

The Berkeley Academy are looking to recruit a highly motivated Caretaker to join our thriving school. The hours of work will be 3pm – 5pm Monday – Friday, term time only.

The main duties will be to lock and unlock gates at the end of the school day and after the extra curriculum clubs have finished after school, make sure the whole school site is secure at the end of the day e.g. windows and doors closed, and to carry out some general maintenance, tidying of the premises. The position is to start as soon as safeguarding checks have been completed.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive and organised, have initiative and be able to work unsupervised.

Closing date is 10th October 2025 at 9am; shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Interviews will be held week commencing 20th October 2025.
