School Chef

Hours: 35 hours per week – Monday – Friday 7.30am - 2.30pm

Term time only – 39 weeks + 6 weeks holiday allowance

Brookways School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic School Chef to join our team. You will play a key role in preparing nutritious, delicious meals for our students, ensuring they have the energy to learn and grow.

What you’ll be doing:

• Prepare and cook a variety of healthy meals in line with school menus and dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Manage food storage, stock levels, and kitchen supplies.
• Follow food safety regulations and school policies.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to serve meals on time.
• Assist in planning menus to provide balanced and appealing meals for students.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in catering, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• A good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Friendly and approachable, with a passion for providing great food.
• Relevant food hygiene qualifications
