Are you a passionate and skilled cook who loves working in a fast-paced kitchen?
Do you want to play a crucial role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to students and staff at Silver Linings School?
If so, we want you to join our team in Pinxton!
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Cook to help prepare and serve high-quality, healthy meals for our school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals from fresh ingredients, following a set menu.
- Purchase ingredients from local suppliers to support our community.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and school team members.
About You
- You have previous experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a school or similar high-volume setting.
- Ideally hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher).
- You are passionate about providing healthy, balanced meals.
- You are a reliable, organised, and positive team player.
- You must hold a valid driving license to travel for local purchasing.

- Monday to Friday. - Term time only.

Salary range
