Hours: 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, Term-time working, Monday to Friday; 10am to 2pm
Salary: Scale 4.7 to 4.10, £30,288 - £31,611 Annually (FTE). Actual Salary £14,103 to £14,719 (as 46.56% FTE)

About this Role
We are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Science Technician to join a talented and supportive Science Department at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for empowering young women, and for guiding them to be the best version of themselves.
The successful candidate will:
- Share our commitment to building great learning communities for our students.
- Ensure the efficient preparation and organisation of equipment for lessons as required upon request to prior notice given 48 hours in advance.
- Clean equipment after use and assist with any chemical spillage when they occur.
- General routine laboratory maintenance
- Ensure safe storage and use of laboratory equipment.
- Refer stock requirements to the Head of Science and Head Technician and assist in the ordering process.
- Ensure the general application of Health and Safety procedures in relation to laboratories (appropriate training will be provided).
- Be motivated to help develop amazing young women
- Work collaboratively across the school
- Support the ongoing growth and development of the department
