An exciting opportunity to make a real difference
SEN admin assistant
30 hours per week (negotiable) | Term Time Grade D – NJC Local Government Scale Points 5–9
Start date: 1st September 2026
Are you a confident, organised, and enthusiastic individual looking for a varied and rewarding role in a school environment? Malden Oaks is looking to appoint a SEN admin assistant who is passionate about making a positive contribution to the smooth running of our school and, ultimately, to the experience of our students.
This is a broad and varied role that sits at the heart of our 6th Form SEN team. You will provide general support across 6Oaks, including SEN admin support, annual reviews, administrative tasks, access arrangements and examinations processes.
You do not need to have worked in a school before; what matters most is that you are a quick learner with excellent organisation and communication skills, and a willingness to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks. Experience of working with different stakeholders, working with data, or using school management information systems such as SIMS would be an advantage, though full training and support will be provided.
We are a small, specialist school based in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. Our students have social, emotional, and mental health needs, and our whole-school approach is built around supporting them to thrive academically and personally. Working here means joining a close-knit and committed staff team who genuinely care about the young people they work with. If you are looking for a role where you will be valued and where the work you do truly matters, we would love to hear from you.
We would encourage you to visit our website (www.maldenoaks.org) to find out more about our school, our students, and the difference our staff make every day. Should you have any queries please contact our Head of School (6Oaks) Bryan Molin stbm@maldenoaks.rbksch.org
Visits to the school are welcome and encouraged.
Malden Oaks is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this
commitment. All new staff will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and carry out safeguarding training. Please read our full safeguarding policy, which can be downloaded from our website.
Your application should summarise how you meet the requirements of the attached person specification and how your skills and experience would enable you to fulfil the attached job description.
As part of our recruitment process, we may carry out social media checks on shortlisted candidates. These checks are conducted to support our commitment to safeguarding and maintaining a safe and professional working environment.
