About the Role

The Combined Authority is in the middle of a critical period of change and growth, and we are looking to strengthen the Finance Service at such an exciting time, delivering the new emerging devolved financial management arrangements. As such we are looking for new team members to join us to help influence and shape the future of the service. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development and opportunities that exist both now and in the future

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the comprehensive management accounting service for a range of specific service areas across the combined authority. About the person

The successful candidates will be a CCAB (or CIMA) qualified accountant, or be actively working towards completing qualifications, with demonstrable experience in a similar role and a proven track record of successfully setting revenue budgets and monitoring service budgets. They must be confident in their use of information technology especially financial ledgers and would benefit from a knowledge of local authority or public sector finances.
