We are recruiting a Senior Accountant (School Support) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are recruiting 2 x Senior Accountants (School Support) in the Education Finance Team.
The Senior Accountant (School Support) will be part of a team providing financial support across all the Authority’s schools and Central Education. The role provides support to Headteachers & Governing Bodies in relation to financial matters. This will include specific work in relation to supporting schools in a deficit position, the preparation and delivery of training, together with line-management responsibility.
The postholder will be required to provide written reports and represent Senior Officers in various meetings. This is a very busy team; flexibility will be required to support key deadlines and service requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity in a busy and challenging financial environment.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- Relevant Level 4 financial qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales or Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 4.
- Detailed knowledge of financial administration processes.
- Experience in preparing detailed budget calculations.
