Job summary

As part of the CMA's Digital Products & Application Support (DPAS) team, you will support, maintain and enhance our primary ERP platform - Unit4/Agresso.

Working alongside key technical teams, you will be an expert for Unit4 and related platforms and be central to further support of our Dynamics 365 environment, all of which underpin a number of business-critical systems and services.

This is a part-time position (0.6 FTE - approximately 3 days per week).

Job description

The Technology and Digital (T&D) Directorate provides business-critical technology services and solutions to support staff across CMA offices in London, Belfast, Cardiff, Darlington, Edinburgh and Manchester.

The Digital Products & Application Support (DPAS) team is responsible for the support, delivery and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that underpin CMA operations, including Unit4 (Agresso), the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (including Dynamics 365 and SharePoint Online), and other specialist systems.

Within this context, you will play a key role in supporting the operation and improvement of the CMA’s primary ERP platform (Unit4/Agresso), while contributing to the wider support of Dynamics 365 and SharePoint Online. Working closely with Product Managers, Agile Delivery Managers, and technical teams, you will ensure systems remain stable, secure, and aligned to business needs.

You will act as a subject matter expert for Unit4 and associated platforms, taking responsibility for application configuration, performance, and support. You will also contribute to enhancements, service improvements, and the efficient operation of business-critical systems, ensuring that services continue to deliver value and meet user expectations.

Please note - due to the nature of the role, the post holder may occasionally be required to work outside of core hours including at weekends or on Bank Holidays.

Person specification

It is essential that you can provide evidence and examples for each of the following selection criteria in your application. For tips on how to make the most your application, please have a look at our guidance document.

  • Experience of supporting Unit4 (Agresso) as an administrator including central administration, permissions, monitoring, patching, and service application configuration. (Lead criteria)
  • Demonstrable experience in application support in an M365 environment. Including Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint online.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to apply an analytical approach to trouble-shooting application incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders of all levels and explain solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge and experience of SQL based applications.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.

Application and sift stage

  • As part of the application process you will be asked to complete a CV, personal statement and an online application form. Further details about application requirements are listed on the application form.
  • The selection process will comprise of the sift (CV & application review) and an interview. Arrangements for the interview will be enclosed in the invitation.
  • Please note that it is essential that your personal statement is aligned to provide evidence that you have the knowledge and experience for each of the essential criteria (as included on the role profile attached and listed above under 'Person Specification') in your application. Your personal statement should be no more than 1250 words.
  • If you meet the qualification criteria you will then be sifted on the first criteria point (Lead Criteria). If your application progresses to a full sift, all elements of the essential criteria listed under Person Specification will then be considered.
  • We may raise the score required at sift stage to progress to interview if we receive a high number of applications and take through the highest performing candidates to the interview stage.
  • Successful candidates at sift will be invited to an interview which will be conducted either in person or via Teams.

Interview stage

  • At the CMA we apply a blended interview technique, allowing us to find out more about you and we use the Success Profiles framework assessing the Behaviours, Experience (essential criteria) and Technical skills listed in the advert and attached role profile.
  • The interview will be a 45 minute -one hour panel interview in which you will be asked questions based on the Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills outlined in the role profile.
  • A reserve list may be held for up to 12 months from which further appointments may be made for the same or similar roles.

Timeline (the dates outlined below are indicative and may be subject to change)

  • The advert closing date is 15th June 2026 (23:55pm). We are not able to accept late applications.
  • The sift is scheduled to take place between 16th - 26th June 2026
  • Interviews will be held from the week commencing 6th July 2026
