Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Data Engineering team within the Data Linkage and Integration Hub (DLIH) of the Office for National Statistics (ONS). We're looking for a Data Engineer to build cutting edge, AI-augmented data products and pipelines to provide high quality linked data for analysts and data scientists at the ONS in a timely, consistent, auditable and reproducible way.

This role will deliver standardised and engineered external and internal key strategic data sources needed for national statistics as well as responding to requests and enabling further use of these rich and very timely datasets at ONS and across government; for example, having a key role in providing COBR and the Cabinet Office key data insights during COVID and enabling cost of living crisis experimental statistics, and building cross-government data sharing platforms which form a pillar of the current national infrastructure priorities.

This campaign is for external candidates who wish to be based at either our Newport or Titchfield site. Therefore, this campaign has been linked with the internal advert 459886 Senior Data Engineer. If you are an internal candidate to ONS please apply via the other campaign. The selection and interview process will be combined, so you do not need to apply to both campaigns.
