
Senior Digital Workforce Resourcing Manager
Job summary
Help shape the future of the Digital and Information Directorate at the CPS. In this key role, you’ll lead workforce planning and recruitment for a large directorate, but within a small, supportive and friendly team, ensuring we have the right people and skills to deliver transformation and high quality digital services.
You’ll provide analysis to identify skills and capability gaps work closely with senior leaders, project teams and HR to forecast resource needs and develop effective recruitment strategies that promote equality, diversity and inclusion. Your insight will directly influence how we design, grow and support our workforce.

The Crown Prosecution Service is based in England and Wales. As part of this role, you are expected to undertake direct line management responsibilities.
You must be aged 16 before starting in this role. The start date is expected to be 6-8 weeks after the application deadline.
Job description
Your roles and responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate, current and future view of workforce capacity and capability across all transformational and BAU change activity.
- Provide oversight and actively lead on recruitment activities within the Digital directorate. Working closely with job sponsors and CPS strategic resourcing.
- Identifying gaps in terms of capacity and capability (within projects and teams), working with the business to generate solutions and manage any associated risks.
- Working closely with key colleagues in support of financial forecasting, skills gap analysis and training and development.
- Analysing the DID Business Plan against resource/availability and capability. Highlighting risks and issues as and when required.
- Collaborating closely with senior colleagues to identify demand and plan the deployment of properly skilled staff to resource projects in line with corporate strategy.
- Working collaboratively with HR to manage the impact of resources and skills within projects, to support the implementation of organisational change

The panel has the right to assess the lead behaviour ‘Communicating and Influencing’ first. This is a full-time post. We do consider requests for flexible, part-time working and job share, always considering the operational needs of the department.
Clearance
If successful, you are required to secure a Disclosure and Barring Service check/Security Clearance, for which you must have a current valid UK address.
If successfully appointed, we ask you to complete a character enquiry form and nationality and immigration questionnaire, and national security vetting form.
If you're a Crown Prosecution Service member of staff, you won’t need to do a Disclosure and Barring Service check as you already hold this clearance.
The job you’re applying for is covered by Article 3(a) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, consequently Section 4(2) of that Act doesn’t apply.You’re required to disclose all previous convictions and cautions including spent convictions. To be cleared to Security Clearance clearance level, you have to be able to meet the residency requirement in the Cabinet Office guidance. For the Crown Prosecution Service they are:

Reserve list
If you're recommended by the selection panel but not appointed to the current vacancy, you’re put on a reserve list for 12 months. You may be offered another Senior Digital Workforce Resourcing Manager post in CPS Digital Information Directorate if a vacancy comes up during this period. We may also approach candidates on the waiting list to fill other roles that require similar knowledge and experience.
