Are you passionate about civil protection and emergency planning? As a Senior Emergency Planning and Safety at Sports Grounds Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our residents. You will provide expert advice on the emergency planning and safety at sports grounds agenda and provide support in response to any major emergencies. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety of our community!

In this role, you will:

• Provide specialist emergency planning and safety at sports grounds input to the Emergency Planning Team.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Offer emergency planning advice for major events and crowded places.
• Support counter-terrorism and security workstreams.
• Lead the preparation of business impact analyses and business continuity plans.
• Develop and deliver training programmes, identifying training needs and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with local partners, such as the emergency services and other councils.
• Participate in the on-call duty rota, responding to emergencies outside normal working hours.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A degree or equivalent experience.
• A thorough understanding of emergency planning principles and practices.
• Experience in safety at sports grounds and major events.
• Strong knowledge of counter-terrorism measures and security protocols.
• Proficiency in project management, including the ability to produce detailed reports.
