This role has a starting salary of £47,142 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

The Employee Experience Team is recruiting a Senior Employee Experience Consultant to support us to continue to help all our staff thrive, grow and flourish in their careers.

About the Team

The Employee Experience team uses our expertise in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Wellbeing to champion a workplace where no-one is left behind and where everyone is valued and respected.

As a Team we prioritise our wellbeing, and work in a hybrid way, with an expectation that staff work, on average 2 days per week in one of our many offices across the county, providing the opportunity to regularly work together. We support flexible working and would welcome applications from those seeking part-time positions.

About the Role

The Senior Employee Experience Consultant will play a crucial role in in designing, leading and managing the council’s workforce EDI and wellbeing projects and in supporting the delivery of our Employee Experience Action Plan and People Strategy.

You’ll also be able to provide subject matter expertise and advice on complex EDI and wellbeing issues, based upon an advanced understanding of best practice, evidence-based interventions and the 2010 Equality Act.

Your work may also include:

  • Supporting our Inclusive Staff Networks, First Aiders for Mental Health and Wellbeing and Inclusion Champions
  • Designing and delivering EDI and wellbeing related training
  • Supporting the delivery of our centralised Workplace Adjustments Service

Shortlisting Criteria

In order to be considered for this role, your application will clearly evidence that you possess a genuine passion for diversity and inclusion and employee wellbeing, the following skills and experience, and that you align with our behaviours:

  • Experience of working in EDI and/or wellbeing roles within large and complex organisations
  • Experience of managing and delivering successful employee experience related projects
  • An ability to develop meaningful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of the developing evidence base for successful wellbeing and EDI interventions
  • Ability to provide accurate and comprehensive advice on complex wellbeing and EDI issues.
