Senior Engineer - End User Computing - (P1280N)

Job summary

We are looking for a Senior End User Computing Engineer to join our Digital Service Desk team. This role is key to delivering an outstanding colleague digital experience by acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues and supporting colleagues both remotely and face to face.

You will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills, taking ownership of incidents end to end while helping shape and continuously improve how digital services are delivered.

Job description

As a Senior End User Computing Engineer, you will:

• Act as a trusted escalation point for complex incidents and service requests
• Manage the full lifecycle of incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Accurately record diagnostic information and maintain high-quality service documentation
• Identify and escalate potential risks or recurring issues
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to colleagues
• Support project delivery and new technology rollouts
• Embed ITIL best practice across service delivery
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels

You will work closely with Digital Support leadership to maintain a high-performing, collaborative, and customer-focused support function.

Person specification

Essential:

• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• Hands-on experience supporting Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Surface devices
• Understanding of ITIL principles (ITIL Foundation desirable)
• Experience using Service Management tools such as ServiceNow
• Proven ability to manage complex incidents independently
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Ability to remain calm, organised and proactive under pressure

Desirable:

• Experience supporting macOS and iPhone devices
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues
