
Senior Environmental Health and Enforcement Officer
Salary range: £44,685 - £51,138 p.a. inc. London weighting
Contract: Fixed term/Secondment - 12 months
Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

The Post We are looking to recruit an Environmental Health Officer/Enforcement Officer to join our Health & Safety Enforcement Team with responsibilities primarily for health and safety interventions, accident investigations, special treatment licensing, and smoke free enforcement. The Person
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are looking to make a difference and contribute to the Borough's wellbeing with opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of commercial settings; explore opportunities and take part in regular high profile projects to improve the health and wellbeing of the Borough’s visitors and businesses. Consideration will also be given to newly qualified EHOs who have signed up to the CIEH EHP pathway to registration.
To be successful you will need to have a professional qualification to undertake health and safety interventions e.g. NEBOSH or a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health and EHRB registered with the CIEH. You will also need to have a good working knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation as well as experience of investigating RIDDOR notifications, health and safety complaints and enforcement action.
