About the role
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Senior EDI Officer to help drive our inclusion programme across the Commission. This role will focus on identifying and removing barriers to participation, supporting a diverse workforce, and embedding inclusive practices that create equitable outcomes for all.
You will:
- Support the design and delivery of EDI models, tools and frameworks
- Provide expert advice and practical support to senior leaders and project teams
- Lead and coordinate EDI projects and Equality Impact Assessments
- Develop and deliver inclusive training and resources
- Analyse workforce and equality data to inform evidence-based decisions
Your work will help shape policy, influence organisational culture, and ensure our services are accessible and inclusive.

You will join a collaborative and supportive team that champions inclusion across the organisation. We work closely with HR, policy teams, programme leads and staff networks to embed best practice and create a culture where everyone can thrive.
Person specification
We’re seeking someone who combines EDI expertise with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You’ll be confident working with data, advising stakeholders, and delivering practical solutions that make a real difference.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Experience managing complex cross‑organisational projects.
- Experience supporting and coordinating EDI initiatives and contributing to policy or strategy development
- Ability to influence and persuade through evidence-based recommendations and collaborative engagement
- Confident in working with data and turning findings into practical recommendations
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to create clear, accessible and engaging reports and learning materials for diverse audiences
