  • About The Role -

    We are recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer to join our HRA Finance Team within Resources.

    If you are passionate about delivering high-quality financial management and supporting excellent housing services, committed to achieving positive outcomes for residents, and have experience in local government finance, we would love to hear from you.

    In this role, you will:

    • Support budget monitoring and forecasting.

    • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial reconciliations, variance analysis, journals and year-end closing activities.

    • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Housing Services, providing financial support, and guidance on financial systems and processes.

    About You
    We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

    • AAT qualification or part-qualified CCAB status/Finance degree

    • Knowledge of local government finance, ideally within Housing Revenue Account (HRA) services.

    • Experience of budget monitoring, financial reporting, preparing journals, and management accounting.

    • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
