Job summary
This high-profile role is central to strengthening business governance and ensuring consistent, high‑quality performance across a large and varied region. At its heart, the role contributes directly to improving the services that people across Scotland rely on every day, empowering Directors to deliver outcomes that make a meaningful difference in communities.
Scotland is facing rising demand and increasingly complex regional priorities, shaped by the unique devolved landscape. These pressures are not just operational—they reflect the real needs and experiences of individuals, families and communities. Navigating this environment requires thoughtful leadership and an ability to translate policy and legal frameworks into actions that genuinely support those we serve.
In this post, you will provide the leadership and operational oversight that strengthens organisational control and drives sustainable, resilient service delivery. By responding swiftly to emerging issues and ensuring critical actions are delivered to tight and evolving deadlines, you help maintain‑ services that communities depend upon, often at their most vulnerable moments. Your contribution will help build a more responsive, reliable system that delivers for the people who need it most.
Applicants should only apply for roles where they can reasonably commute frequently across Scotland, including these key locations – Glasgow, Falkirk and Edinburgh.
