Grade 10: £42,839 – £46,142 per annum

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a Senior Health Improvement Practitioners to lead priority public health programmes in Substance Misuse (Drugs and Alcohol) and Sexual Health. This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and ambitious Public Health team and make a real impact on population health and health inequalities.

You will design, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based health improvement programmes, manage commissioned services, and use data and insight to inform delivery. The role involves close working with communities and partners across the Council, NHS, UKHSA, OHID, neighbouring authorities and the voluntary sector, and providing professional leadership within the Public Health team.

You will have strong generic public health skills and substantial experience in population health improvement, needs assessment, commissioning, partnership working and service delivery. You will be UKPHR registered as a Public Health Practitioner or working towards registration, with excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills.
