Job description
It’s a very exciting time for the Rosa Service Organisation (RSO). As a unique organisation within Government, we continue to grow and develop. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Manage and support core Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory (AD), ADFS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Oversee backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure automation.
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures using tools like Confluence.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure standards and processes.
Person specification
We are looking for someone with:
Essential
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2025).
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, and Group Policy.
- Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere and virtual infrastructure management.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly AWS .
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
