In this role, you will provide leadership to the IT Service Management Centre within Transformation and Technology, setting the agenda and creating a supportive environment where staff can contribute and challenge ideas. You will ensure teams meet organisational standards, oversee IT Service Management governance, and foster an inclusive, Agile workplace. As part of the IT Services Management team, you will promote a service improvement culture and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.Person specification
To be successful in this role you will have ITIL V4 Foundation or V3 and willing to complete the V4 foundation once in post.
You will have experience of:
- Demonstrable experience of working within an acknowledged Service management framework, ITIL Service Management Framework preferred.
- Experience of leading teams to maintain day-to-day accountability for the ownership and resolution (including any referral or escalation as may be necessary) of service management issues which arise in connection with any IT Service.
- Proven experience of reviewing service metrics and key performance indicators to identify the success of the services being utilised and underpinning ways of working.
- Ability to champion and promote service improvements on an ongoing basis to continually improve quality and customer satisfaction with IT services
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders to influence strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
- Creating an inclusive environment where new processes or procedures based on analysis of performance are introduced.
- Using financial budgeting and accounting data to achieve outcomes. (up to £2m annually).
- Proven experience of building strong working relationships with a wide range of senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Embraces change and is able to adapt ways of working to deliver value early.
- Thought leadership in Service management, leading transformational activity to change operational ways of working, and / or influencing cultural change.
- Demonstrable experience of working within an acknowledged Service management framework, ITIL Service Management Framework preferred.
