Job summary

The Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) directorate has recently been established in UKEF, drawing together the expertise in digital currently within the organisation to provide representation of digital services, user centred design, analytics and technology at the highest levels. The areas with the directorate work closely with all areas of the business such as the Business Group, Operations and Strategy and Policy.

To enable this, UKEF is committed to using digital as a primary means for managing relationships with a wider range of stakeholders. Focusing on developing end-to-end services that meet user need and enable business outcomes, this is an exciting new role showing the growth and drive of UKEFs digital ambition.

This role requires you to develop and maintain SharePoint applications and solutions, integrate PowerApps with other Microsoft applications, design and develop custom workflows and forms, provide support to end-users and troubleshoot issues.

Job description

In this role, you will:

Design and Deliver Intelligent Solutions

Build scalable, secure applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents) to automate workflows, enhance collaboration, and improve operational efficiency across departments.

Copilot Studio & Agent Development

Develop and deploy custom Copilot agents using Copilot Studio, integrating them with internal systems (e.g. SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure services) to provide conversational interfaces that support case management, data entry, and stakeholder engagement. Champion the use of generative AI to reduce manual effort and improve user experience.

SharePoint Online Administration

Configure and manage SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, integrations, and compliance policies. Ensure performance, availability, and data protection in line with UKEF’s governance standards.

Custom Development & Integration

Develop solutions using Power Platform, and modern web technologies such as SPFx. Integrate with Microsoft 365 and external APIs to support business processes and automate tasks.

Data Source Management

Maintain and optimise data sources used in Power Platform solutions, ensuring integrity, security, and alignment with enterprise data governance strategies.

AI-Driven Workflows

Leverage AI Builder and Copilot capabilities to create intelligent workflows that adapt to user behaviour and business context, enhancing decision-making and reducing operational overhead.

Mentorship & Best Practices

Lead in establishing a Centre of Excellence. Promote best practices, reusable components, and knowledge sharing across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and SharePoint.

Cross-Government Collaboration

Represent UKEF in cross-government forums (e.g. Low Code Community, Innovation Days), sharing insights on secure automation, Copilot adoption, and platform engineering.

Automated Development & Deployment

Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform and SharePoint solutions. Collaborate with Cloud and QA Automation teams to ensure robust testing, version control, and secure deployments.

Technology Landscape Awareness

Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving ecosystem, including Copilot extensibility, and AI capabilities. Evaluate emerging tools and approaches to continuously improve engineering practices.

If you are successful following the initial sift, you will be invited to a panel interview; this will include the following assessment:
