Southwark Council is strengthening how it monitors performance and tracks progress against its strategic priorities.

The Data, Performance and Insight team, within Strategy, Insight and Performance, maintains the council’s corporate performance framework and supports transparent reporting on delivery against priorities and statutory responsibilities.

We are looking for a Senior Performance Lead to oversee the development and management of the council’s corporate performance framework.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and management of the council’s corporate performance framework.
  • Develop clear and insightful dashboards and performance products to inform strategic decision-making
  • Ensure performance reporting is clear, accurate and aligned with council priorities.
  • Work with services to develop meaningful performance measures.
  • Provide performance insight to senior leadership and Members.
  • Support services to use performance data to drive improvement.
  • Ensure reporting processes meet statutory and governance requirements.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong experience in performance management or corporate reporting.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in complex organisations.
  • The ability to translate performance data into clear insights.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Experience developing performance frameworks or reporting systems.
