Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Planning Lawyer to handle complex planning, highways, transport, administrative law and environmental work arising in the team. You will also be required to manage the team on a day to day basis.

What we’re looking for

You must be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX in Wales and England with at least 5 years PQE (or equivalent) in planning law and hold a Practising Certificate on commencement of the role.

We are looking to recruit a lawyer to deal with a varied caseload, advising of the more complex planning, highways, transport, administrative law and environmental work. The successful candidate will have excellent drafting skills and the ability to provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers and Members. The individual will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team and ideally have previous Local Government experience.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary

£61,836 - £64,032 per annum (P08)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
