We are recruiting a Senior Practitionerat Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: 2 x Full Time, Permanent
Location: Tredomen House

Team: 16 Plus Team

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £42,839 - £46,142 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering services to children and young people in accordance with their assessed needs, and based on the assessment plan which has been agreed to meet those needs, and in accordance with statutory and directorate requirements.

You will provide high quality assessment and/or care management to children and families who have been assessed as requiring ongoing intervention while reviewing progress within statutory timescales ensuring plans for children are achieving the identified outcomes.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification.
  • Up to date knowledge of current legislation and statutory regulations, research and practice in relation to the relevant service area.
  • Experience of multiagency working.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.

You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or able to transfer from another recognised body).

The current registration requirements state that completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016). Failure to successfully complete this qualification will result in you being unable to renew your Social Work Registration or practice as a Social Worker.
