We are recruiting a Senior Practitioner at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £42,839 - £46,142 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This post attracts a Market Supplement of £3,551 per annum, in addition to the annual salary, which will be paid in 12 monthly instalments.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to deliver essential services tailored to the assessed needs of children and young people. In this role, you will implement care and support plans that have been developed to meet individual requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory and directorate guidelines.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments and care management to children and families who require ongoing intervention. Your work will involve regularly reviewing interventions within statutory timescales, making sure that plans for children are on track to achieve the desired outcomes.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification.
  • Up to date knowledge of current legislation and statutory regulations, research and practice in relation to the relevant service area.
  • A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.

You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or able to transfer from another recognised body).

The current registration requirements state that completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016). Failure to successfully complete this qualification will result in you being unable to renew your Social Work Registration or practice as a Social Worker.
