Senior Public Health Manager - Food, Nutrition and Oral Health (Internal Candidates Only)
Are you ready to lead transformative change in public health and make a lasting impact on your community? We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Public Health Programme Lead to champion vital interventions around food, nutrition, and oral health in Medway. In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of improving health outcomes and tackling inequalities by helping people make informed choices about their diet and lifestyle, choices that can prevent obesity, diabetes, dental decay, and more.
You’ll take the reins of a wide-ranging portfolio, including the strategic oversight of the local food partnership. This means working hand-in-hand with community groups, local businesses, and residents to build a healthier, more sustainable, and accessible food system. You’ll facilitate key partnership meetings, drive forward shared priorities, and ensure that progress is tracked and celebrated. Your work will align with both local and national strategies, and you’ll be a powerful advocate for food-related initiatives that support long-term wellbeing.
As a leader, you’ll manage a dedicated team of public health professionals, offering guidance, support, and vision. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping and delivering public health policies, developing strategic plans, and ensuring that Medway’s health and wellbeing ambitions are realised. This is your chance to be part of something bigger—embedding health and wellbeing across systems, influencing policy, and working with stakeholders in a way that reflects the values and vision of the Council.
If you’re driven by purpose, thrive in collaborative environments, and want to lead meaningful change, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and help shape a healthier future for Medway.
You will need access to your own car to attend setting across Medway and Kent and this role is a Hybrid role which requires regular office attendance.
