
Senior Technology Adoption Manager
Job summary
The Senior Technology Adoption Manager plays a key role in ensuring CPS staff can confidently and effectively use the organisation’s digital tools, particularly Microsoft 365 and Copilot. Working closely with IT Operations engineers, the role translates technical updates into clear, user-focused adoption activities that improve productivity and enhance the user experience.
The postholder will manage and work with a fellow Technology Adoption Specialist to design and deliver training, maintain high‑quality support materials, and develop targeted communication and engagement approaches. They will analyse user data and service interactions to identify skills gaps and improvement opportunities, ensuring adoption efforts are evidence‑based and aligned to organisational priorities.
Strong relationships with Business Relationship Managers, Digital Technology Leads (DTLs), and other stakeholders are central to the role. Through these partnerships, they will gather user insights, promote digital learning, and help embed cloud-based services in day‑to‑day operations.
This is a strategic, user‑centred role focused on driving digital confidence, supporting continuous learning, and maximising the value of the CPS’s technology investments.
The Crown Prosecution Service is based in England and Wales. You must be aged 16 before starting in this role. The start date is expected to be 8-12 weeks after the application deadline.

Job description
Your roles and responsibilities:
- Drive effective adoption of digital tools and services by translating technical changes into user-focused training, communications, and improvement activities that increase digital confidence and capability across the CPS.
- Design and deliver high‑quality learning and support materials including training sessions, knowledge‑base content, and self‑service resources, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with user needs.
- Use data and user insights to identify skills gaps and improvement opportunities, analysing service interactions and feedback to refine adoption strategies and enhance the user experience.
- Build strong relationships with Business Relationship Managers, Digital Technology Leads (DTLs) and other stakeholders to ensure consistent engagement, understand business needs, and support effective implementation of digital products.
- Represent the Digital Technology function at business meetings and forums, communicating updates, gathering feedback, and ensuring digital initiatives are embedded in day‑to‑day work in a way that delivers measurable benefits.

Person specification
To be eligible to apply, you need:
- Experience driving adoption of digital tools and services, particularly cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft 365, with a strong focus on improving user capability and confidence.
- Proven ability to design and deliver training, workshops, and self‑service-learning materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility for diverse user groups.
- Strong analytical experience, including the ability to interpret user data, service interactions, and feedback to identify skills gaps and inform adoption or improvement activities.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills, working with Business Relationship Managers, Digital Technology Leads (DTLs), and other business areas to align digital initiatives with organisational needs.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities, engaging confidently with users at all levels and representing the digital function in meetings, forums, and area events.
It is desirable that you have the below experience but this is not required to apply:
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a forward‑looking digital adoption pipeline, aligning initiatives with organisational priorities.
- Familiarity with change management practices, including supporting the rollout and embedding of new digital systems or service enhancements.
- Background in digital customer engagement, including resolving non‑routine queries and supporting improved user experience.
- Experience creating multimedia training content, such as videos or eLearning materials, to support knowledge sharing and digital skills development.
- Understanding of benefits realisation and impact measurement, including monitoring adoption metrics to assess effectiveness and inform planning.
