The starting range for this role is £53,713 – £58,953 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Surrey County Council’s IT & Digital Service Assurance Team at a pivotal time of transformation. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Delivery Manager who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, value‑driven IT services that make a real difference to residents, colleagues, and communities across Surrey.
Your designated office base will be Woodhatch Place, Reigate but you will often find our team members working from home or in a range of council locations, thanks to our hybrid and flexible working offer.

About the role
As Service Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening how IT & Digital services are designed, measured, governed, and continually improved. You will provide clear insight into service performance and cost, ensuring services are transparent, resilient, and aligned to business outcomes. The role owns service performance and financial models, ensures ITSM processes and agreements are effective, drives continual service improvement using data and insight, partners with senior stakeholders and suppliers, leads a small team, and deputises for the Service Assurance Manager when required.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the strategic delivery of IT & Digital services, ensuring they are measurable, customer-focused, and aligned to organisational priorities.
- Own ITSM performance management, including KPIs, dashboards, service reviews, and improvement pipelines.
- Proactively monitor and improve service performance, managing risks across technology, process, capacity, suppliers, and SLAs.
- Lead and develop a small team while acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and suppliers.
- Produce clear performance and financial insight to support decision‑making, contract management, and continual improvement.
