Service Desk Analyst
37 hours per week
Salary range: £29,696 – £32,957 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
Runnymede Borough Council is looking for an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join our forward-thinking Digital Services team. Based at our modern Civic Centre in the heart of Addlestone’s regeneration zone, this is an exciting opportunity to support and drive digital innovation across the Council.
In this highly visible and customer-facing role, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our staff, ensuring they receive timely, professional, and effective technical support. You’ll play a key part in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, implementing new technologies, and maintaining high service standards across our digital environment.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver excellent customer service by clearly communicating technical solutions to non-technical users
- Support the rollout of new systems and technologies across the Council
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with senior support colleagues
About you
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, networking, and server environments
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or another scripting language (desirable)
- A calm and professional approach under pressure, with a proven record of delivering quality results
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical information for a wide audience
- A strong customer service ethos and the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
Experience in the public sector or a passion for innovative technology in local government would be an advantage.
