As the Service Manager - Emergency Planning and Safety at Sports Grounds, you will lead a passionate team focused on planning for major emergencies and disasters. Your role is vital in ensuring that Nottinghamshire is ready to respond effectively when it matters most.

In this pivotal position, you will:

• Lead and Manage: Oversee a dedicated team of emergency planning specialists.
• Build Relationships: Foster positive partnerships with local authorities, emergency services, and other key agencies.
• Ensure Resilience: Establish and maintain robust business continuity management arrangements.
• Respond to Emergencies: Provide tactical support during emergencies, including out-of-hours assistance.
• Safety Oversight: Act as the lead officer for the County Council’s statutory function regarding the safety of sports grounds.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A relevant qualification in emergency planning, management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in emergency planning or crisis management.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective strategies.
• Proficiency in report writing and communication.
