SIIP Programme Manager: Data Integration
Transform Data. Drive Health Equity. Shape Southwark's Future.
Are you ready to lead the integration of data and intelligence to transform public health outcomes in one of London's most ambitious boroughs?
If yes, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Southwark Council's Public Health Division is recruiting a Programme Manager to lead the Data Integration Workstream within the innovative Southwark Insights and Intelligence Programme (SIIP).
About Us:
Based within the Public Health team but with a cross-council remit, the Southwark Insights and Intelligence Programme (SIIP) is a three year capacity-building initiative that delivers on the Council's commitment to being "insight-led," as outlined in the Southwark 2030 Delivery Plan.
SIIP serves as a 'proof of concept' for embedding evidence-based working into everyday practice across policy development, service design and cross-council activity - driving sustainable corporate change. It does this by:
- Demonstrating the value of evidence-based working through real-time, practice-led learning projects. These projects respond to current borough priorities by building and interpreting relevant evidence to inform solutions.
- Facilitating workforce capabilities through a comprehensive training programme in research, evaluation and community engagement - designed around the identified learning needs of council staff.
- Embedding an evidence-led culture by supporting departments in delivering the Council's Future Southwark objectives.
About the Role:
We are seeking a permanent, substantive Programme Manager to lead the Data Integration Workstream of SIIP.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing, well-resourced team at the forefront of cutting-edge public health innovation in a world-class city. The role offers a fast-paced, challenging environment where you'll be held accountable for delivery. A strong commitment to tackling health inequalities and a high level of personal resilience are essential.
We are looking for a candidate with strong data analysis, research and evaluation skills, who is eager to grow their programme management experience within a corporate change and strategic influence setting.
You will lead the SIIP Data Integration Workstream and work collaboratively with the wider SIIP team - including Programme Managers for Learning and Development and Community Research and Co-production.
Your focus areas will include:
- Data and analytics
- Monitoring health outcomes and inequalities
- Evaluating services and programmes
Although based within the Public Health Division, you will play a leadership role in driving data integration to support evidence-based working and analytics across the Council and with local anchor institutions.
About You:
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong public health knowledge - especially in epidemiology, needs assessment, and evaluation
- High-level data analysis and research skills
- Experience leading service or system change in complex settings
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for equity and innovation
