Salary: Band D SCP 6-7 (pro rata depending on experience)

Brackenwood Infant School is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and proactive Site Manager / Caretaker to join our dedicated team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical skills and a strong work ethic who is looking to develop their experience in school site management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our school environment is safe, secure, clean and well maintained for our children, staff and visitors.

Main duties will include:
Opening and securing the school site.
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
Managing COSHH systems and ensuring safe storage and use of materials.
Supervising and supporting cleaning staff.
Monitoring health and safety routines and reporting issues appropriately.
Liaising with contractors and supporting planned maintenance.
Ensuring the site remains safe, tidy and welcoming.

The successful candidate will:
Have good practical maintenance skills.
Be organised and able to work independently.
Have good communication skills and work well as part of a team.
Be willing to undertake relevant training and professional development.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and health and safety.
