At North Lincolnshire Council, we believe in putting people first. We are passionately committed to supporting people to remain independent and live the life they choose. This commitment has recently been recognised with North Lincolnshire Council named Local Authority of the Year at the 2026 MJ awards – one of the highest honours in local government. Judges praised the councils ‘unwavering focus on delivering real outcomes for residents, underpinned by strong, visible and values driven leadership’

We prioritise safeguarding the most vulnerable and ensuring people are safe, well, and connected within their communities. Our Adult Social Care services are high performing and nationally recognised and we are continuing to grow and develop our workforce to achieve the best possible outcomes for local people.

We work with adults aged 18 and over, including people living with mental health needs, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, providing support tailored to their individual needs and circumstances. This means that our work is not only incredibly rewarding but varied and changeable. The positions are full time working over 5 days a week.

You will be a strong team player, resilient and solution focused, with a proactive approach to work as part of a busy Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Social Work Team. You will provide person centred, strength based assessments and care plans that focus on maintaining independence. You will need to be able to work autonomously and demonstrate excellent problem solving skills. You will need to have effective communication and organisational skills, as well as skills in negotiation, the use of IT systems, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of people who have care and support needs. You will work collaboratively with other teams, both internal and external, to ensure a good-quality service that is in line with our statutory responsibilities and established good working relationships. You will also be able to travel throughout North Lincolnshire independently as we cover all the North Lincolnshire area.
