We are recruiting a Social Care Workerat Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 4 x 30 hours / 1 x 22.5 hours / 4 x Zero Hours Contracts

Contract Type: 5 x Part Time, Permanent / 4 x Casual/Relief
Location: Various Locations in the Borough

Team: Supported Living Scheme

We pay an attractive salary of £21,407 - £22,817 (30 hours) / £16,055 - £17,113 (22.5 hours) / £13.69 per hour (Zero Hours Contracts) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Join our dedicated team as a Social Care Worker supporting adults with learning disabilities in supported living. Help individuals live independently, with dignity and purpose. You’ll provide personal care, promote community inclusion, and support daily living, all while working in a rewarding, person-centred environment.

Shifts include weekends and sleep-ins. These hours will be worked on a rotating basis, if you require further information on the available hours, please contact the recruiting manager using the details provided below.

Enhanced DBS and registration with Social Care Wales required.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Willingness to achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within an agreed timescale.
  • An understanding of the principles that underpin a quality care environment ie Privacy, dignity, respect, choice, independence and rights.
  • Experience with people who require support and assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily living and social skills.
  • Ability to work shifts on a rota basis, and work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.

The Social Care Wales (Registration) Rules 2023 set out the requirement for all residential childcare workers, domiciliary care workers, adult care home workers, residential family centre workers to be registered with Social Care Wales within six months from your start date in post.
