Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £41,423 - £44,899 per annum
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: Social work assistants (SWA) support the coordination and management of cases and support social workers to carry out statutory responsibility within their role. SWAs may contribute to risk assessments and statutory work supporting individuals. You will be working with individuals and families to assess needs, develop care plans, and offer emotional and practical support, while also maintaining accurate records and liaising with other agencies. You will hold a caseload but accountability for this will sit with the statutory social worker or Practice Manager.

Requirements
- SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or professional qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Community Education, Nursing or equivalent.
- You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highlands to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
This position is classified as a regulated role. As such, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history. Specifically, this check will be necessary if you do not meet both of the following criteria:
- You must be a national of the United Kingdom or one of the following countries: Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, or Poland.
- You must not have lived or worked in any country outside of the UK or those listed above for a period of three months or more, while aged 18 years or over, within the past five years.
Please note that it is your responsibility to obtain the Overseas Criminal Record Check, and you will be required to cover any associated costs.
