
Social Worker
We are recruiting Social Workers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 hours per week

We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 with an additional £3,551 annual market supplement, and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Caerphilly Children’s Services as a Social Worker in either our Locality Teams or Family and Friends Team, where no two days are the same and your work truly matters.

As a social worker, we will provide you with the following:

We welcome applications from candidates who are currently in the final year of their Social Work degree. We will also consider applications from candidates requesting part time roles.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor.
- Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
- Experience of working with children and young people their families and carers.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.

You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or able to transfer from another recognised body).
The current registration requirements state that completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016). Failure to successfully complete this qualification will result in you being unable to renew your Social Work Registration or practice as a Social Worker.
This post attracts a Market Supplement of £3,551 per annum, in addition to the annual salary, which will be paid in 12 monthly instalments.
