Be there for your community when they need you most! As a Social Worker in our Care for Children Team (formally looked after children team), you will manage a caseload of children and young people, assessing their strengths, needs, risks, and vulnerabilities and progressing their care plan. You will develop outcome-focused plans to enhance their wellbeing and safety, working collaboratively within the Nottinghamshire practice framework.
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Progress effective care plans and assessments of children and families: Evaluate the needs, plans and ensure the progress of these in line with children's needs and riskrisks of children and young people.
- Develop Support Plans: Create tailored plans that focus on improving wellbeing and safety.
- Collaborate with Families: Work closely with children, families, carers, and partner agencies to coordinate effective interventions, plans and family time.
- Safeguard Children: Ensure the safety and welfare of children in your care.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed records and prepare reports to support your assessments and interventions.
- Participate in Team Activities and CPD: Engage in supervision and team meetings to share insights and improve practices.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A professional Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS).
- Registration with Social Work England or in the process of registering.
- A solid understanding of child development, safeguarding legislation, and issues such as mental health and domestic abuse.
- Experience in working with children and families in a social care environment.
